Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of pyrrhotite from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a large, showy cluster of pyrrhotite crystals from the Blue Bell Mine in Canada!!! One might expect to see such a specimen from any number of other worldwide localities, however it is surprising to see such a specimen from Canada!!! This specimen is comprised of large, sharply formed crystals of pyrrhotite arranged in a handsome, radiating hemispherical cluster of crystals!!! THe crystals have characteristic bronze coloration and flashy metallic faces!!! This specimen came out of old institutional material and retains an antique handwritten label!!!
