Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of pyrrhotite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of pyrrhotite in association with a sharp complex crystal of sphalerite!!! The pyrrhotite crystal is sharply defined and actually appears to be partially altered to limonite!!! The pyrrhotite crystal also has a few scattered crystals of arsenopyrite embedded in its surface!!! The sphalerite crystal is nearly black in color, sharp, and highly lustrous!!!
