A fantastic, old time example of quartz from Ellenville!!! This old time specimen consist of a cluster of highly complex quartz crystals, punctuated
by one large, pseudocubic crystal on one end!!! The crystals exhibit a wild variety of complex habits, with most of the crystals having highly compressed, tabular
forms!!! The main crystal is a complex, pseudocubically modified crystal that is complete and brilliant!!! This is OLD material (locality closed
in 1932) and is
in fantastic condition all around!!! It is quite showy and lively in person!!! This specimen has an old label from the
University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum and affixed catalogue number!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
