Description/Interesting Notes:
An amazing, singularly unique example of rhodochrosite-included quartz from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a complex group of
quartz crystals that hosts significant inclusions of light pink rhodochrosite!!! The rhodochrosite is present as balls of slightly pearlescent, light
pink rhodochrosite crystals that are both present on the surface of the quartz as well as completely included within!!! There are rhodochrosite crystals
that are partially included as well as free floating spheres of crystals within the quartz crystals!!! In addition to the rhodochrosite inclustions, the
main quartz crystal hosts a phantom of an unidentified tan mineral (commonly seen coating the alabandite matrix at this locality) near the
termination!!! The quartz crystals have razor-sharp faces, glassy luster, and gemmy clarity!!! Simply an incredible specimen indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be
seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 10th!!!
