Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of "capped quartz" from Germany!!! These unusual quartz crystals exhibit marked zoning throughout and in rare instances, under certain circumstances a zone will actually allow the crystal to seperate - leaving a newly exposed termination and a perfectly fitting "cap"!!! This specimen consists of a classic example of "capped quartz" and exhibits all of the characteristic features particular to this unique locality!!! This specimen's "cap" fits perfectly and one can see the pronounced zoning throughout the specimen!!! There is one area where it appears the bottom portion of the specimen is ready to seperate from an additional cap as well!!! This specimen retains an antique dealer label!!!
