An unusual, old time example of quartz from a seldom referenced Colorado locale!!! This specimen consists of a single quartz crystal in association with
a small amount of microcline!!! The crystal is sharp, lustrous, and complete!!! The most exciting feature about this specimen however is that there are a few
unidentified crystals that have left what appear to be smoky quartz radiation halos on the crystal!!! The largest and most prominent smoky quartz halo hosts an
unidentified greenish yellow crystal at its center (the second largest spot also hosts small crystals as well!)!!! A fascinating specimen indeed!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!! This specimen is from the Colorado Suite of the Jenkins collection and retains its original collection label!!!
