Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of quartz from this classic locality!!! I must start off by saying that it was quite difficult to capture just how
striking this specimen is in person - the pictures simply don't do it justice!!! This is a very fine example of quartz indeed!!! The crystals are all sharp, lustrous, and undamaged!!!
The crystals have slight "pineappling" around the prism faces toward the top portion of many of the crystals, while the bottom portion usually hosts a coverage of
tiny quartz points!!! There are some small chalcopyrite crystals in association and there is a bit of sulphide mineralization visible on the bottom as well!!! There are also what
appear to be some tiny somewhat altered calcite crystals present as well!!!
While the prism faces of the quartz crystals seem
milky, the actual terminations are much gemmier by comparison - the overall aesthetic of this specimen is quite striking in person!!! This specimen
is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! A stunning Colorado classic!!! WAY better than the pics!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS
