Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic and unique example of quartz from Texas!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of quartz crystals that hosts a large,
peculiar, highly complex crystal prominently perched among them!!! Each terminal face of the main quartz crystal has a slightly concave group of smaller terminal faces at the center - the
result, when viewed down the c-axis looks almost like a snowflake or a cyclic-twinned chrysoberyl crystal!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged - what looks like a
ding on the termination is actually a complexly etched or modified area that almost looks like a c-face!!!
The crystal has a slightly reddish hue near the termination, the result of minute hematite inclusions, as well!!!
This specimen is quite handsome in person and has a very unique aesthetic that just couldn't be captured in the pics!!! This specimen
is from the collection of Paul Lazar!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 2nd!!!
