Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent and unusual example of quartz with pyrite from this famous locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of sceptered
quartz crystals that hosts large, prominent crystals of pyrite included within!!! The quartz crystals are razor sharp and brilliantly lustrous!!! The
main crystal exhibits a slightly sceptered habit while the intersecting crystal exhibits a rather pronounced sceptering!!! The crystals are actually doubly
terminated, with some highly complex compound terminations at the bottom!!! The sceptered habit is quite characteristic of the locality!!! The most striking feature however are the pyrite
crystal inclusions!!! The main crystal hosts a large pyrite crystal prominently positioned and readily visible within!!! This pyrite crystal has
sharp, complex faces with bright metallic luster and there is a second smaller pyrite crystal immediately next to it!!! There are other pyrite crystal inclusions
scattered about as well!!! This specimen is quite showy in person - it was difficult to capture in the pics, however the inclusion is
very prominent and the specimen displays magnificently all around!!! A very unique and rare find from this classic locality!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 30th!!!
