Quartz with Cassiterite and Muscovite

Barroca Grande Mine, Panasqueira, Covilhã, Castelo Branco District, Portugal

3.23cm x 2.68cm x 1.87cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A gorgeous example of quartz and cassiterite from Portugal!!! This specimen consists of a pair of razor sharp, gemmy quartz crystals that host a complex compound cassiterite crystal in association with some accenting muscovite!!! The cassiterite crystal has sharp, lustrous faces and stands in sharp contrast to the quartz crystals!!! A striking classic indeed!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
