Description/Interesting Notes: A large and showy example of quartz and tourmaline from Brazil!!! This specimen consists of a large, complex quartz crystal that is loaded with showy, colorful tourmaline crystals included within and perched among its lustrous faces!!! The quartz crystal is completely terminated and has a partial termination on the bottom as well!!! The crystal has bright glassy luster and marked clarity as well!!! The clarity and luster allow one to see the numerous showy tourmaline crystals within!!! The tourmaline crystals have rich green color and many of them have pink cores ("watermelon tourmaline") as well!!! The tourmaline crystals are sharp, lustrous, and range in clarity from translucent to gemmy!!! While there are numerous partial tourmaline crystals, several of the tourmaline crystals are sharply terminated!!! This specimen displays gorgeously and is way better than the pictures show!!!
