Raspite with Stolzite Broken Hill, Yancowinna Co., New South Wales, Australia 4.86cm x 4.5cm x 2.6cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from the type locality!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of sharp, lustrous raspite crystals in association with stolzite on a contrasting, darkly colored matrix!!! There are numerous sharp, undamaged, gemmy crystals of reddish orange crystals of raspite scattered about the matrix!!! The raspite crystals exhibit characteristic form and range in size up to 4mm!!! The stolzite is present as gemmy, square-shaped, orange blades!!! There is one prominent stolzite crystal in addition to scattered tiny crystals tucked in nooks and crannies!!! Raspite is the much rarer dimorph of stolzite and good specimens are rarely seen on todays market!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
