Description/Interesting Notes: A rare locality example of rhodochrosite from Minnesota!!! Not too long ago we acquired a pair of old rhodochrosite specimens from this rare locality that needed to be trimmed into smaller pieces... we thought we had sold the very last specimen, however as luck would have it, we found one last remaining specimen near our trimmer!!! This specimen hosts a lively showing of complex crystals of rhodochrosite on a dark brown matrix!!! The rhodochrosite appears to consist of two generations, with the second generation consisting of tiny, gemmy crystals - giving the specimen a unique and attractive appearance!!!
