Description/Interesting Notes: A wonderfully aesthetic example of rhodochrosite from Peru!!! This specimen hosts an unusual showing of complex rhodochrosite crystals on a small amount of sphalerite and galena matrix!!! The rhodochrosite crystals have unusual, complex hybrid habits and are complete and undamaged!!! The crystals are lustrous and have marked translucency throughout!!! The edges of the crystals almost seem to be highlighted within with a stripe of pearlescent luster just below the surface!!! This specimen is much more lustrous an translucent than it appears in the pics!!! This is a VERY aesthetic and showy rhodochrosite indeed!!! This specimen is from the collection of Larry Krause!!!
