Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of rhodochrosite and calcite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen consists of a complex
group of juxtaposed, prismatic crystals of calcite that have been richly covered with complex, pinkish flesh colored
crystals of rhodochrosite!!! The rhodoochrosite crystals are highly complex and it appears that they
may have formed in successive layers in some areas as well!!! The calcite crystals are present as sharp, elongated, lustrous, gemmy
crystals!!! Upon close inspection there appears to be a small amount of pyrite in association as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be
some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
