A wonderfully aesthetic example of rhodochrosite and quartz from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of complex, bubble gum
pink rhodochrosite crystals that has been coated by brilliantly lustrous quartz points - resulting in a very lively and aesthetic
specimen!!! The quartz crystals are somewhat blocky and have razor-sharp, highly lustrous faces!!! The quartz crystals have very
gemmy clarity and have a very slight amethystine purple hue!!! The rhodochrosite crystals themselves are quite lustrous - almost
pearlescent, consisting of curvaceous saddle-shaped crystals!!! The rhodochrosite crystals can be seen right through the water clear quartz
crystals in many cases!!! In addition to the rhodochrosite and quartz, there is also a small, complex crystal of gemmy selenite in association
as well!!! A dramatic and showy specimen, the pics don't even come close to capturing just how
dynamic it is in person!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
