Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of rhodochrosite from this rare locality!!! This specimen consists of some iron-rich matrix in association with a highly complex showing of pink rhodochrosite crystals!!! The broad face of the specimen is actually a perfectly flat contact where a portion of matrix had once been!!! The rhodochrosite crystals have a striking two-tone appearance with slightly divergent groups of opaque pink crystals that are coated by a second growth of gemmy pink rhodochrosite crystals with sharp, lustrous faces!!!
