Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of rhodochrosite from the Emma Mine in Butte!!! This is a rare, old time example of GEMMY Emma Mine rhodochrosite!!! Usually
one only sees the opaque pink rhodochrosite specimens from this locale - or at best a slightly translucent specimen!!! Rarely do you see such
incredible, gemmy examples of rhodochrosite from this famed Butte locality!!! This specimen consists of a striking cluster of razor-sharp, glassy, gemmy
pink crystals of rhodochrosite in association with pyrite and a small amount of quartz!!! The crystals also seem to have tiny tan borders in areas, which is
quite an aesthetic detail indeed!!! The opposite side hosts a few smaller rhodochrosite crystals and several significant pyrite crystals in addition
to a small blade of whitish barite coated by tiny quartz points!!! The pics hardly do this specimen justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
