Rhodochrosite with Shigaite Wessels Mine, Hotazel, Kalahari manganese fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa 5.34cm x 3.3cm x 2.4cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of rhodochrosite with shigaite from Wessels!!! This specimen hosts several ball-like clusters of lustrous, pink rhodochrosite crystals aesthetically perched on matrix!!! The largest cluster of rhodochrosite crystals hosts a small yellow-brown blade of shigaite!!! There are also several tiny crystals of shigatite to 1mm scattered about the matrix as well!!! There is also an unknown brownish botryoidal/microcrystalline species partially coating portions of the matrix as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
