Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of rhodochrosite from this uncommon, sought-after Colorado locality!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of bubble-gum pink crystals of rhodochrosite in association with tiny quartz points, sphalerite, and some minor chalcopyrite!!! The rhodochrosite crystals are present as intergrown groups of rhombs that almost look like rosettes from a distance!!! This specimen retains a label from the collection of George Hasselbacher as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
