Rhodochrosite with Shigaite Wessels Mine, Hotazel, Kalahari manganese fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa 4.83cm x 3.71cm x 2.62cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rhodochrosite with shigaite from Wessels!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic showing of lustrous, gemmy pink crystals of rhodochrosite on matrix in association with a single platy crystal of yellow-brown shigaite!!! The rhodochrosite crystals have razor-sharp, glassy faces, gemmy clarity, and wonderful color that is almost two-tone between bubble gum pink and reddish pink!!! The crystals are in fantastic condition and the specimen displays gorgeously!!! The matrix is a combination of darkly colored material and massive rhodochrosite and there are some scattered microcrystals of shigaite upon close examination as well!!!
