Description/Interesting Notes: A gorgeous example of rhodochrosite from this classic Peruvian locale!!! This specimen consists of a striking group of rhodochrosite crystals in association with a small amount of quartz matrix!!! The crystals exhibit a complexly modified, compressed rhombohedral habit and have glassy luster, marked clarity, and deep pink-red color!!! Although the two smaller crystals are incomplete, the main crystal is complete, undamaged, and pristine!!! Simply gorgeous material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
