A classic, old time example of rhodochrosite from Germany!!! This specimen hosts numerous areas of complex rhodochrosite crystals scattered throughout
the vuggy limonitic matrix!!! The crystals are complex, often doubly terminated, triangular prisms with red color and marked translucence!!! This specimen
dates to the mid to late 1800's and retains an old Ward's label dating to between 1875-1891!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Mineral Museum
and retains old affixed catalogue numbers as well!!! This specimen could likely be trimmed into several smaller
specimens if so desired!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person
to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
