Rhodochrosite with Sphalerite & Quartz Cavnic, Maramure Co., Romania 8cm x 3.46cm x 2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of rhodochrosite from Romania!!! This specimen consists of an elongated cluster of sharp quartz crystals in association with rich, pink crystals of rhodochrosite and scattered crystals of sphalerite!!! The rhodochrosite is present as complex clusters of saddle-shaped crystals with slightly pearly luster and rich pink color!!! There are numerous crystals of darkly colored sphalerite present as well as some minor chalcopyrite!!! Specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! Classic material!!!
