Rhodochrosite Inakuraishi mine, Shakotan peninsula, Shiribeshi Province, Hokkaido Island, Japan 6.54cm x 6.13cm x 5.1cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of rhodochrosite from Japan!!! This specimen consists of a mass of crystalline rhodochrosite that hosts numerous crystal-lined vugs throughout!!! This specimen was part of a small group of specimens from the Inakuraishi mine that we obtained in an old collection!!! This is the last of the four specimens, all of which were massive, and this was the only one that was crystallized like this!!! This is an unusually well-crystallized specimen from this old and historic locality!!! This specimen is very lively and showy in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
