Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, classic example of rhodochrosite from this historic Japanese locality!!! This specimen consists of a handsome cluster of pink rhodochrosite crystals!!! The plate of crystals has what appears to be a stalactitic growth jutting from its face!!! This historic locality, which is now closed, was once Japan's largest manganese deposit!!!
