Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of rhodochrosite from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of fine, complex
crystals of rhodochrosite perched on a small portion of matrix!!! The crystals have highly complex modifications and
are complete and undamaged!!! The crystals have a very slightly silky luster which gives the crystals a very
attractive "glow" in person!!! Although it doesn't show up in the pics, in person the crystals show very faint, attractive,
smoky highlights on the edges of the crystal faces!!! This is simply a gorgeous Mexican rhodochrosite indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired
the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting
minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was
originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!! Old material!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
