Rhodochrosite with Willemite Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey 5.2cm x 2.5cm x 2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of rhodochrosite and willemite from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a thick vein of pink rhodochrosite that hosts a face covered with beautifully crystallized rhodochrosite and tan colored willemite!!! The rhodochrosite crystals consist of wildly curvaceous "saddles" that have surprising luster!! There are numerous willemite crystals scattered about, however there is one striking main crystal that is sharp, complete, lustrous, and translucent that juts out aesthetically from amongst the bubblegum pink rhodochrosite crystals!!! Of course the willemite exhibits intense green fluorescence under SW UV and even fluoresces brightly in daylight - as the pictures show!!! Simply magnificent in person!!!
