A classic example of rhodochrosite and quartz from Silverton!!! This specimen consists of a matrix covered in sharp quartz points that
hosts numerous balls of light pink, complex rhodochrosite crystals!!! The "balls" of rhodochrosite are actually groups of curvaceous crystals
that have a thin coating of druzy quartz themselves!!! A handsome specimen from this classic locality!!! The pics say it all!!! This specimen retains
its Rutgers University Geology Museum labels as well!!!
