Rhodochrosite Mount Mica Quarry, Paris, Oxford Co., Maine 1.77cm x 1.33cm x 1cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible example of rhodochrosite from Maine!!! This specimen came from a recent, one time find of rhodochrosite at Mt. Mica!!! The entire find was limited to the size of a small ball!!! We were lucky enough to acquire the entire contents of the pocket and this specimen was actually the largest single crystal from that find!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex, etched crystal in association with a few minute pyrite crystals!!! The crystal is actually quite lustrous and shows bright flashes of glassy luster since all the tiny individual faces are oriented the same directions!!! This is a complete, highly complex, etched crystal!!! Rhodochrosite from Maine is very rare and highly sought after!!! Don't miss out on this rare find!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
