This specimen consists of a complex botryoidal rhodochrosite crystal in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The crystal has color that ranges from very dark red to a near cherry red!!! The crystals have a velveteen luster and exhibit marked clarity in areas!!! These old time Cornwall rhodochrosites are very rare and seldom encountered on the market!!!
