Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of rhodonite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts numerous large, pink crystals of rhodonite
in a white calcite matrix!!! The rhodonite crystals have marked luster and rich pink color!!! The largest crystal
measures over 6cm and is nearly as wide!!! This is an old specimen and looks as though much more crystalline material
could be revealed if the calcite was trimmed away - however it is quite handsome as is!!! Of course the
calcite shows intense orange fluorescence under UV and there is some granular black franklinite in association as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
