Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible example of native silver with rhodochrosite from Peru!!! Fine pairings of these two esteemed
species are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of rich pink, complex
crystals of rhodochrosite intergrown with wires of native silver that measure up to 2.2cm!!! The main
wire of native silver is thick and rigid with well defined features and handsome "antique" patina!!!
There are small wires of native silver that have been encrusted with tiny rhodochrosite crystals!!! Upon close inspection one
can see that the main silver crystal has a tiny offshoot that has similar rhodochrosite encrustation as well!!! The main
wire of native silver also appears to continue and poke out the other side of a mound of rhodochrosite crystals!!! This specimen
is simply gorgeous in person!!! Over the years I have only seen a handful of fine native silver and rhodochrosite pairings!!! You
do not want to miss out on this rare and showy combination!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
