Rodalquilarite with Jarosite Tombstone, Tombstone District, Tombstone Hills, Cochise Co., Arizona 7.33cm x 3.14cm x 2.44cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent, old time example of this very rare species from Tombsone!!! This specimen consists of a broad matrix that is loaded with very fine crystals of lustrous, gemmy, intense deep lime green crystals of rodalquilarite to nearly 3mm!!! This specimen is much more rich than the pictures even show!!! There are significant groups of well defined crystals all over the front of the specimen, as well as significant crusts on the sides and reverse!!! There are also small cavities that host incredible free-standing crystals upon close inspection (along with possibly an additional darker green species)!!! There are numerous undamaged rodalquilarite with sharp terminations upon close inspection!!! This is easily the finest example of the species I have seen from Tombstone!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this incredible rarity justice!!! There are brown crystals of jarosite in association as well as complexly etched or altered pyrite crystals!!!
