Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of the rare and sought after species roeblingite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts several
nodules of "coconut flesh"-like roeblingite to nearly 7mm in association with andradite, clinohedrite, willemite, hendricksite, epidote-pb, and
several other unidentified species!!! I must say that I am not skilled at taking fluorescent pictures and I want to stress that this specimen's
fluorescence is much more dramatic, defined, and prominent than the pictures show!!! The roeblingite fluoresces a deep, vibrant red while the willemite
fluoresces a yellow green, the clinohedrite orange (there is much more orange fluorescence than the pics show!), and there is blue (hardystonite?) and
peach fluorescence as well!!! There is a lot going on with this specimen and there are some interesting crystalline features to be seen under a scope as well!!!
This specimen is way better than the pics show!!! Don't miss out on this classic Franklin rarity!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 2nd!!!
