Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, meticulously prepared example of this very rare copper indium sulphide from Russia!!! This specimen consists
of a carefully prepared 2.5cm probe mount that contains a brilliantly metallic example of rare roquesite with stannoidite in
association with chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, native bismuth, cassiterite, and quartz!!!
Roquesite is an extremely rare copper indium sulphide - there are only a very small number of indium bearing mineral species!!!
Specimens of roquesite are quite difficult to obtain, let alone well-confirmed and prepared examples such as this!!! This
specimen is accompanied by two SEM backscatter images as well as X-ray spectra and additional info!!! Rare material from a rare
Russian locality as well!!! RARE!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 12th!!!
