Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of ruby with spinel from the Franklin Quarry!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of handsome,
slightly purplish red crystals of ruby in association with scattered crystals of reddish-pink spinel!!! The
ruby crystals exhibit highly complex forms with marked luster and handsome translucence!!! The spinel crystals are present
in groups of small, complex crystals that have a distinctly different hue!!! Interestingly, it appears there are
some areas where alteration between ruby and spinel is visible as well!!! There are several other species in association
as well and there is a lot to see upon close inspection!!! This specimen has crystals all around and there is an
unattributed catalogue number affixed as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 16th!!!
