Rutile with Quartz Mount Kapydzhik, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan 4.05cm x 2.55cm x 2.42cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rutile from this rare locality!!! While this locality has been known about for quite some time, specimens are still very scarce indeed!!! This is due to the fact that the area is in disputed territory making travel and operations very dangerous!!! Fine specimens from this locality are also quite rare due to poor collecting methods - however this specimen is quite showy indeed!!! This specimen hosts sharp, complete, twinned rutile crystals (as well as a third, partial crystal on the bottom) in association with quartz crystals and some small, scattered crystals of colorless zircon!!! The rutile crystals are sharp and brilliantly lustrous!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
