Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rutile from Chile!!! This specimen consists of a showy grouping of intergrown, reticulated rutile crystals in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals have gorgeous, flashy red highlights and the complex networks of twinned crystals are quite pronounced!!! In person, it almost appears that this could be a partial replacement of a much larger rhombohedral crystal of some kind!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
