Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rutile from Connecticut!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts several plates of intergrown reticulated rutile crystals in association with dark green clinochlore crystals!!! Upon close inspection the rutile crystals show sharply defined reticulated patterns with oriented faces that flash at varying angles!!! A terrific example of rutile from this seldom referenced locality!!! Older material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
