Rutile Paramorph after Brookite Magnet Cove, Hot Spring Co., Arkansas 2.6cm x 2.53cm x 1.63cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rutile after brookite from Magnet Cove!!! This specimen consists of a pair of large, conjoined, complex brookite crystals that have been completely replaced by rutile crystals!!! Usually, in most cases when one species replaces another it is called a pseudomorph, however in instances where both species have the same chemistry such replacements are known as paramorphs!!! This specimen is sharp, brilliantly lustrous, undamaged and complete!!! The crystals are perched on a small amount of matrix and display fantastically in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
