Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rutile from this rare locality!!! While this locality has been known about for quite some time, specimens are still very scarce indeed!!! This is due to the fact that the area is in disputed territory making travel and operations very dangerous!!! Fine specimens from this locality are also quite rare due to poor collecting methods - however this specimen is quite showy indeed!!! This specimen hosts a striking crystal of rutile promintenly perched on a perfectly balanced piece of matrix!!! The rutile crystal is complete and in superb condition all around!!! The crystal has sharp, brilliantly lustrous faces that make this darkly colored crystal look quite showy indeed!!! The lightly colored matrix really sets the specimen off and gives it a very classy appearance as well!!! Simply a magnificent example of rutile from this rare locality!!! This specimen is in superb condition and displays fantastically in 360 degrees!!! This specimen has been very well mounted on a leucite base for display, but could easily be removed if so desired!!!
