An extraordinary example of this rare and beautiful species. This specimen consists of numerous well-formed, intensely colored caledonite crystals aesthetically perched in a nest of quartz crystals. The quartz crystals have a dark coating that provide a magnificent backdrop for the bright caledonite crystals. There is also a thin coating of chrysocolla on this dark quartz. The quartz has a slighly reddish hue which results in the chrysocolla exhibiting a fantastic purple color! The caledonite crystals are glassy, gemmy, and form groups up to .3", the largest of which is perched on a stark white criss-cross of cerussite. An absolutely amazing specimen, simply incredible in person - the pics don't even come close.
