A superb example of a classic Weardale fluorite! This beautiful specimen is a razor-sharp, text-book example of cubic interpenetration twinning. This amazing gem has rich purple color that becomes absolutely electric in daylight! The luster is wonderfully glassy and there are fascinating striations that are divided into sharply defined quadrants on each crystal face. This specimen is from an old collection, and has two different catalogue numbers affixed to its base as well as an accompanying typewritten label. Simply extraordinary!
