A terrific example of samarskite from Spruce Pine!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of unusually
well-formed crystals of samarskite!!! The crystals are terminated and sharply defined!!! The crystals
have minor areas of microcrystalline autunite and there is a lone tiny zircon crystal in association!!!
We acquired this specimen from the Belmont Abbey College Collection (although it does
not retain a label) and was unquestionably the best example of samarskite in the group!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
