Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of sapphire from North Carolina!!! This specimen consists of an unusual white sapphire (corundum) crystal with numerous dalmation-like spots of deep sapphire blue!!! Upon close inspection these areas show areas of gemminess as well!!! This specimen has an old label that was once affixed to it as well!!! A unique, old time example of this prized gem species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
