Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely gorgeous example of pink sapphire from Vietnam!!! This specimen consists of a complex, doubly terminated crystal of pink to purple sapphire in association with numerous tiny phlogopite crystals!!! The crystal has sharp complex faces, glassy luster, marked translucency, and intense color!!! The color ranges from a vivid, intense pink to a purplish pink - as the crystal appears to have a bluish core that can be seen on one side near the main termination!!! The opposite termination consists of a unique tiny "spike" on a larger, otherwise flat termination!!! The crystal is complete and pristine with no damage to speak of!!! This specimen retains its original Goldstein Collection label, as well as an old Pala label!!! The pics hardly do this beauty justice!!!
