Corundum var. Sapphire Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka 3.2cm x 1.05cm x .75cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this famed gem species from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a single, doubly terminated sapphire crystal!!! This specimen has razor-sharp faces, lively sky blue color, glassy luster, and gemmy clarity!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! (curiously, there are a few curious inclusions that appear to be crystalline under the scope and have a dark blue translucency to them!!!)
