Description/Interesting Notes: An unusual example of this famed gem species from Sri Lanka!!! This specimen consists of a single, complex crystal of sapphire!!! The crystal has gemmy clarity and a lively blue termination that gradually fades to colorless!!! The crystal is complete and has a very curiously modified habit that is better seen than described!!! Although the crystal is alluvial, it still has wonderful glassy luster and sharp definition!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
