Corundum var. Sapphire Warwick, Town of Warwick, Orange Co., New York 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 1.8cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fascinating example of this esteemed gem species from New York!!! This specimen consists of a most unusual crystal of corundum with an area of gem sapphire!!! The crystal is a very complex form with glassy luster and a variety of hues!!! The crystal is largely pale yellow with one edge having a slight pink outer layer (which results in it having an overall light pinkish hue from some angles) and, most notably, an intense royal blue portion!!! This striking royal blue area is also quite gemmy!!! This is actually choice colored gem sapphire from New York!!! Simply an incredible specimen indeed!!! This specimen was acquired from a noted East Coast collector!!! A very unique gem indeed!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
